Special era of my work was reimagining, designing and making unique stoves and fireplaces for reconstruction and renovation projects of historical buildings in Hungary. A frequent problem when rehabilitating and reconstructing baroque spaces in Hungary is the lack of information available regarding its original condition, due to the looting that took place during the 20th century, making the authentic furnishing and staging of the now empty spaces difficult.
That shaped the design vocabulary using paraphrasing in the context for each piece. To make them become an integral, functional part of the interior design of a space, rather than afterthoughts placed after completion.
One uniqueness of works is not content to be formed by superficial characteristics such as the proportions of a space, becoming an integral part of a whole instead. Her work communicates with its context, creating emphasis or joining design elements, fusing the spatial design into a contiguous whole. One of these works is a masonry stove for the Dunaharaszti Laffert-kúria (mansion), designed to paraphrase baroque period masonry stoves.
These unique masonry stoves and hearths are organically integrated into the interior design of a space, conceived simultaneously with the interior design concept in close collaboration with architects and interior designers.
