She collaborates with engineers and skilled craftsmen according to the functional qualities required for each project. The acoustic claddings are used to improve the acoustic qualities of interior spaces. There are two major product categories: the diffuser distributes sound waves, providing lifelike sound reproduction, and the absorptive surface, which is designed to absorb energy in a given frequency. The absorptive cladding’s material quality gives it acoustic porosity, while the diffusing surface’s plastic qualities provide its functional performance. The two qualities can be combined into one product, creating design opportunities using both qualities.
